    Nope don't think I understand?

Are you trying to justify why your not interested? Or trying to justify why you are interested?

So far I don't think you have provided anything useful to this thread yet you insist on keep posting

One of the reasons that badpip drivers are gone is because of the low price. The couldn,t be manufactured for that price that Badpip sold them for so he did everything by hand. He couldn,t keep up with the (succes)sales next to his schoolwork and that cost him his bussiness. Some people are still angry with him because he still owes them money. He should payback all the money that he recieved but it doesn,t make him an asshole or a bad person. He just made mistakes that,s all.

Its great to see that lasertack and others that have the skills in electronics step up the plate to design drivers. The availabillity depends also on the price because if the price will be to low then after a while they will disapear again because its not worth the effort.

So take your pick, higher priced but available for a long time or a cheap one that disapears after a year.

Guys, please make posts regarding this thread only. You seem to have things to sort out. Please do it via PM or open a thread. Fighting here is not helpful for the project.

    Thanks

Reasonable price level means not cheap. A good quallity powermeter is about 1000 euro incl head. A laserbee is competitive in price but can only do 3.2 watt. I,m happy to pay double the price of a laserbee 3 watt if it can go up till 10 or 20 and has the features i need. Even with that price its still on a reasonable and fair price level compared to the market.

    As for the driver.
I seriously doubt that people want to pay twice the 55 euro for a dual driver with all the feautures on it. Second if it is cheap the driver will not available for a long time anyway because its not worth doing them. I just showing the other side of wanting things to cheap. You can disagree with me or not that,s fine.

Enough said, time to go in read only mode

I designed a fast response circuit for a Scientech head I bought cheap on eBay. I had to repair it by using thinned varnish and amorphous carbon powder to coat its thermopile. It's good for 20W easily if the beam width is more than about 7mm (will take nearly an inch). I described the coating method in a LaserFAQ post. I think I might have the circuit in there too, I'm not sure. If you use it, it is BY FAR the best bang per buck you'll get, easily good to within 5% accuracy, maybe good for better than 1% which I doubt you can get any other way for under a grand. I can specify components, schematic, board layout. But not calibration. That bit you'll have to do.

The price will be ~50€ for the dual and ~70€ for a quad channel driver.
