It is finished. The prototypes work like they should.
The mass production will start on Monday and the pcb´s should be ready within 2 weeks.

The final pcb´s will be black with connecting pins imprint.

There will be no start delay as the price would be higher as expected and most customers use stabilized PSU´s. So it is not really needed.

To keep the price as low as possible the quad channel driver will be two dual drivers on one pcb with two connectors.

    Hi Lasertack,

... regarding my question, if your drivers can be summed up to 8 Amps -- for my IR-laserdiodes with up to 35Amps of current I've made a driver with power-MOSFETs capable of some hundred Amps when proper cooled ... more than 1000Amps pulsed!

Attached is an image of one of the drivers with embedded Arduino Mini for controlling the laser analog or PWM ... could be used for temp sensing and TEC controlling too, if needed ...

I'm actually developing PCB-tooling with the IR-diodes - the driver PCB's are already made with laser-engraved painted PCB's and etching tem, instead of using photo-masks ;-)

Is it a high side or a low side?

    Hi Viktor,

I can send you prototype on 09.09. as I am on vacation now. The driver circuits are independent so it may work to sum them.

    Regards

    Alex

What happend to the TEC part, there are so many single dual quad drivers availeble, but most of them witout tec. We all know the red diode likes to cool for the best power and wavelengt.

I have been at raves where the ambient temperature was above 40 degrees celcius, killed a laptop, a laser psu in overheat protection etc.

So for me tec is a must for stable operation in hars envoirnments (raves)

If you have a dual driver with dual tec i will be the firt to buy from you

    Regards,

    Maurice

    Hi Maurice,

It is even possible to design a driver which will bring a cup of coffee to your bed in the morning. The problem is that nobody want to pay for. So I had to decide what makes more sence and as I already have a single ld-tec driver I decided to go only for a dual channel ld.

I can put the tec driver to the dual channel pcb but the price will be about 80 Euro for a dual channel driver with tec controller.

If there are some people interested in, I can start the production.
Till now there was almost no interest in XX channel drivers with tec or nobody was willing to pay for.

    Regards
