Default Pangolin , comes up trumps again !

    Hi Guys

Aint been around for a while , work work work , but so impressed recently with pangolin i thought i would make a special effort to log in and write about it.

Coming to the end of a 3 month (very poorly paid) project , which involved 2 laser systems being "on" for 3 month solid without a break , not always lasering but always on.

The 2 laptops could be controlled remotely by 3G and the entire systems could be remotely reset using power sockets with Sim cards in ,there was also a camera working off a 3G dongle , it was a complicated setup but due to distances involved i felt it would save a lot of travelling and fuel.

Hilarious ! NOT ! just about every piece of equipment failed at some point , laptop power supplies went phut ! , laser diodes went phut ! , 3g systems constantly went phut , mechanical timers stuck so went phut ! , the ideal idea of sms controlled remote power sockets to reset everything went phut !

Everything was fine for about 6 weeks but the last month has been hell involving about 10 visits to troubleshoot and repair / reset ..PHEW

WELL DONE PANGOLIN ...... your the ONLY product that didnt fail , that didnt let me down ....so 2 and a half months on , the 2 pangolin FB3 cards just tick away doing as they are told , not a single crash

If only everything in the world was made by pangolin !

WHATS THE LONGEST A PANGOLIN CARD HAS BEEN RUNNING WITHOUT FAIL ? out of intrest ?

You'll be glad to know Paul that Pangoscript offers a simpler solution to this in the future. Hopefully less travelling provided the laptops are stable (or you could even substitute a desktop as they're made for 24/7 computing).

I agree! At the Cock & Bull festival, my favourite artists (Solina HiFi) were making crazy music with analogue synths and they had a great jumble of wires.
For those who appreciate such wonders, here's a photos (there were more wires under the bench too)!

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
