Saw this in a 'travel mag' whilst on a recent flight.. thought it was interesting / worth a mention..

http://www.trakdot.com/TrakDot/index.jsp ..my thought was for, like, either a Co. that might do 'x-rentals' to other Co's, to 'keep tabs' on the unit (especially if a hi-value pj..) or..

..even, for an 'Install', I was thinking you could 'interlock' the battery / power connxs, with, ie: a '1/8 jack attached to a (permanent) safety-cable', etc or, something where, if the unit was 'lifted', the yanked-out interlock-plug would close-power, and the 'Tracking' would start, and - (iirc..) 'alert you' to it's movement / location, etc.. That's when you get the cops, and 'set up a meeting to buy it'..

jk, I know the 'real world' is not-so 'linear', and - presumably - most people with the 'savvy' to be doing biz with a hi-enough-value pj, (that it would warrant considering something like this) would likely not be doing-biz with un-vetted renters / 'shady installs', etc, anyway... but.. a thought..

..At the very-least, it (might) help with 'WTH's MY BAGS??!!!'

Thoughts? ..Or, dumb-idea?
Fire away..
