    Yes. applying the current view to the art itself only works when you are in the v menu.

    I always use to get notes on my grade school report cards that said I can't follow instructions.

    You said above:

    How far? Because if I hold the q key down, eventually the grey box along with the vertical line disappears off the screen.

    It only takes a little bit. Anything off the Z axis is enough to be not zero, thus making it 3D.

    If you pan the camera too far, the apply offset won't do anything because the resulting art would all be outside of the cube of defined numerical space.

    I told you up front "it's not much harder than gouging your eyeballs out with a spoon".

    Nope, nope and double nope... Still nothing...

    Take a look at the artwork I uploaded, the viking files... I'm wondering if they fit within the framework? I know when I look at them, they fit inside the grey box that starts the screen, is there a defined space it should fit in when I hit the "4" key and rotate the images? I noticed the grey box becomes a 3d model, so I'm wondering if my artwork is too big...

    Also, could u take a look at the instructions you gave in that space (so...) maybe there is a step that needs to be added? Like in the last step, does the "q" function need to be invoked a second time? I assume you're "repeating" the same 1st step, just with a different "side" (the ^ key). Gotta figure this out man!!!

    I just modified these two files using the method I described.

    In a nutshell, you have to orbit the view to the side of the art.

    Apply this rotation to the art.

    Pan the camera in the X axis.

    Apply the offset to the art.

    Orbit the camera to the other side of the art.

    Apply this rotated view to the art.

    Save the results.

    Ah I see... When I loaded those two files up that you redid, zILDA is still reporting them as ILD 1 and 2d images... So we did the same things, but the files are NOT saving in 3d or in ild format 0...

    Wow. What A bummer. I just opened the files I altered and they are in fact still 2D sitting at the origin. I tried it a few different ways. I will have to figure this out. I just looked at my code and I don't see why there would be a problem. My first though was that my code was looking for all Z values to be equal (but any number). But that's not the case. It only looks for all values to be equal to ZERO. I'll figure it out.

    I'm sorry for all your frustration.

    I guess a quick fix would be to rotate the image a little bit around the Y axis.

    WTF?

    I'm going to try earlier releases of LaserBoy now....

    This is totally maddening! I've looked at examples all the way back to 2009 and they all seem to not work right. This makes no sense at all.

    Wow, I'm sorry dude... I thought I had followed your instructions to the letter... One good thing came out of it though, I understand the program a little bit better than I did before... Plus, as I said your program REALLY seems to optimize those points a lot better than most other programs...

    Maybe I should try the draw or trace function like you mentioned earlier? Just figured there would be an easier way to convert these things; they really look nice and I've kinda figured out the BMP2ILD program to get it looking right...
