    Default Lumia Wheel

    All,

I am selling some custom Lumia wheels if anyone is interested. The wheels are around 3.5" diameter and made out of polycarbonate resin. There has been a solution added to the surface to create the Lumia effects. All disc are custom made so no two will be alike but will have similar effects. Take a look at the video an see what you think. This video was performed with one disc that we were turning by hand. We have performed some testing with two discs approximately 1" apart form each other and the effect starts to look like shimmering water. These tests were performed with my 400mW RGB laser.

Let me know if you have any questions. PM me if interested.

    Price: $15 per wheel + shipping ($2 US & $13 International)

We are working on also selling a kit for this wheel (Lumia Wheel, Motor, and Motor Bracket). If you desire this PM me and I will let you know when we have those kits ready for sale and what the price will be. Currently we are just selling the wheels.

How much power can they handle?
Has the solution been age tested or might it yellow?

These wheels were tested for around 15 minutes with a 1.5W 445nM and there was no noticeable temperature change on the wheel.

What kind of power would you like to pass through it?

As for age tested. This technic was used in the late 70s laser shows to make lumia. Those shows played almost every day for many years in a row. Those wheels were never changed during that time. As for this batch it has not been age tested because they are new. But I can assure you they were made with the same technics and solution.

Did some more testing with a couple wheels that were purchased and will be shipping soon. The lighting was better for this video and I think shows the capabilities of the wheel a little better. Also took some stills of some images that were just plain cool.
