Nice to see this continuing and growing!

Not meant as a criticism, but why is it that these comeback tours are all older content, re-invented I am sure, but seems like it would be better to also engage a newer generation, in song and light? thoughts..

i imagine it's because of the prohibitive costs (financial and time) for generating new content. it would be nice to move beyond the 70's stoner rock staples.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

10 points for the swish.. Ya, you need to 'make money to make money'.. It will take 2-3 mo's of 2-3 peoples' FT-salaries to design / create a new 'properly-designed' Laserium show.. And DSLI is just not up to 'feeding that baby' all on it's own.. So, therefore, 'Laserium must support Laserium' (..and it can..) even with these 'old favorite pair of jeans' shows.. 'Build it / open it, and the people come'.. Slow / small-gains, sure, but.. gains vs drains..

    Stay-tuned..

I did a CD listening Party last month for a group called Sleepy Kitty aka Page Brubeck and Evan Sult. It went well.

I'm still in experimental mode in St. Louis - figuring out how to market Planetarium Laser Shows in today's Market. One of the reasons I pushed to bring back the original Laserium shows is I think the early Laserium Shows had something that's been lost. I'm honestly interested in rebooting Laserium as an Art Form, not just a commercial thing. And again I'd like to thank Jon for making it possible for me to give it a shot.

Oh and we sold a million tickets in St. Louis back in the day - so the old audience at least know what we're talking about - ever try to describe a laser show to someone who never saw one???

    Wow, are you kidding?

What sort of space do you need? I took a photo some time ago of somewhere that may be ideal, although I might have to ask around for a contact!

Not in the least! London was one of the strongest-markets Laserium ever-had.. It's really a shame - for many-more reasons than 'Laserium will never play there, again' - that the Planetarium in London, there, got 'eaten alive by commercialism', vs science / discovery... Sad, but.. oh, well.. carry-on, right? So, yeah.. 'find us a venue'!

..and, prolly something 'more intimate' than the 'O2' there, holy cow! Sure, that would be 'mega', but.. it would surely-take a ginormous-sponsor(s) to negotiate wrangling with AEG, etc, and, to be 'profitable', with such-capacity, it would take much planning / time, etc, etc.. Might be a rather hard 'fish to land', and, in the end, sure, Laserium is loved, the world-over, but.. we're no 'U2'.. The 60-70' tilt-domes seem to be 'about ideal', as, they're 'big enough to be visually-wow', yet 'small enough to still feel-immersive'... Lemme know if anything 'turns up'..

Anyhoo, lots of 'magik' happening here, at Chabot.. getting better, and better, as we dev-it / enrich the quality of the fx, etc.. Here's a few recent-gems.. njoy...

Great photos! Are some of those oil wheel laser lumia?

I'll have a think about a venue. I plan to be doing dome projection myself, so will have a portable dome eventually, so may be suitable.

Thanks for the invitation Jon! I plan to visit the US in 2014 sometime and it looks like I'll have a busy schedule - Better start saving!

    Keith
