    Default NWLEM II feeler

    Hey,

I've been putting off organizing NWLEM II for entirely too long. There are some venue options here in Salem, Oregon so I figured I'd try to get an idea what dates would work for most people.

For now, I'm looking at November, December, or even January/February. Let's start there- which month would you prefer? Feel free to suggest dates. Once it's whittled down a bit, I'll put up a poll with the top three dates that seem best and we'll go from there.

The venues I'm looking at are easily capable of handling 50 or more people. I need to get an idea of when would work best so I can pick a venue and lock something in.

If I were able to go, January/February would work best. The November, and December, would be 2013 right? Or planning for next year?

Looking at closed schools in the area here. There's also a venue in Portland we might be able to use. Would probably be in Jan/Feb.

    More info soon.

I am in, although I won't be bringing my full kit.

That's one thing I'm looking into. The building we looked at had a lot of power but we couldn't verify if it had 3-phase. If it doesn't, we'll bring a rotary phase converter.

My only concern with an r-p-c is the voltage drop on the third phase. Will a buck/boost be ok to use ?

I don't see why not, but I'll iron out that detail soon.
