    I'm in for TEXLEM 2014.

Alot of the railroad towns like Temple and College Station have industrial park/depot spaces that might be available for short term.

I think i found one! I forgot a local rave promoter uses an awesome venue that has arcades and what not. They use it every NYE.

Sent an email and waiting to see if they accept my price

I had forgotten about the FunPlex.... I haven't been there in like 20 years. Sure would be interesting to have a LEM there.

If we can't make it happen, I'd still like to keep trying the more remote facilities in smaller cities. You would think that they would accept anything reasonable, rather than have it empty? (maybe not?)

If the rave promoters can get it. we can get it. I told them total tentative budget for the event would be around $2000. Which would include other expenses such as t-shirts and what not.

IF we can get 30 people to attend at $50 a head, and we can get the venue for $1500. Sounds possible. I can eat a few hundred bucks to make it happen. Not too much though (im saving for another 2.5w and a 5w haha)

What do you think a reasonable price would be? They have several sections of the building for rent as well as then entire place as a whole.

I also have a Realtor on the prowl for prospective places willing for short term rental.

    Side Note.
Do we wana do a T-Shirt design? Just kinda playing around I thought of the outline of Texas on the back of the shirt, with the Pink Floyd prism marking Houston, instead of a star.

It has been my hope, that we locate a space where no more than $1500 is spent in a weekend. We really don't need a huge space (but shooting beams around in a large area is certainly nice to have). If you add a t-shirt and some other expenses, we'd be at $60-70 a person. This is consistent with past LEMS. We had around 23 folks that pre-paid for TEXLEM (only one person that didn't make it), and we did manage to pay more to Urban 15 than was expected, but I too had to eat a couple hundred bucks to make it happen.

Here's another one with the prism more centralized and larger.

Very nice - I like the PF "theme". We did a prism/color spread for the SELEM 7 logo that turned out well.

My hard drive crapped out, so I will need to see if I still have a logo, but we did white shirts with a Texas outline, black border with the familiar red laser beam-burst in San Antonio. I prefer black shirts (isn't black clothing part of being a laserist?), but ended up going with white as we did inkjet rather than silkscreened shirts - less money and faster access to last minute demands.

I think we have enough folks in Texas to make this happen.
