Yes, the Picos are amazing! DanielBriggs has a pair and brought them to the UKLEM.....Blown Away!

All of the outdoor photos here are the Picos and a few of the indoor shots.

Regarding LaserWorld branded kit, it's worth asking the UK bods about their opinion of the build quality. I'm pretty new and haven't had much experience of them, so won't comment

Mine have ALOT of hours on them. Never 1 issue. They do need a good grounded power source though. Or the scanners will oscillate

BUT I believe we are digressing.
I'm going to order the 2.5w from able today. Should be here in a week or two. I'll take a bunch of detailed pictures and see if it's compliant

On the laser emission indicator, I seem to recall from somewhere that class 3b systems were getting away with the actual light emitting from the aperture as sufficient to meet laser emission indicator. Anyone have any idea what I'm on about, or did I dream this up?

Not for 3B I don't think... light emitting from the aperture would be a laser which does not provide sufficient warning that the laser may active. I do recall something similar to what you suggest - but there was some other major qualifier such as being Class II or something to that effect. I don't think you dreamed it up, but I don't think it applies here.

    FOR REFERENCE
"An emission indicator [1040.10(f)(5)] is required on Class II, IIIa, IIIb, and IV laser systems. The indicator can be visible or audible. On Class IIIb and IV laser systems the indication must precede emission by a length of time sufficient to allow users and others in the area to recognize that the product has been energized so they can avoid expo-sure. Depending on the action required and the level of laser radiation involved, the time needed can vary considerably; typical values are in the range of 2 to 20 seconds. Emission indicators must be duplicated on lasers (heads) and operation controls if they are capable of being separated by greater than 2 meters."

Is there an audible alarm when the unit powers up? Perhaps that is their solution? If you have an audible signal prior to emission, that would seem to satisfy the requirement...

Not sure if there is or not. I'll let everyone know whenever I receive the unit. Should be in the next two weeks

Crazy I ran across a show this weekend that had this exact laser being used! Two of them flanking the center laser. Man they looked good!
