Good to knowI did sand mine down a bit to flatten them out, but also used an extra bounce so not so critical. Definitely ended up with a much bigger module though as a result.

If it use 5mm retainers for FL lenses, then can reduce the module size even more
I go for 1.8mm height difference
Eat Sleep Lase Repeat
I have found that different instances of the diodes/lens have different dimensions of the beam profile. When I was experimenting with the height difference, I had a beams overlaping with a 1.8 mm displacement and loss of power in the end.
Hey bbe what lens set did you use for spatial filter ?
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.
Drivers put out a lot of heat, I would do it externally.
Badger, I'll use something like EO 63-500, I'm experimenting with it now
My driver has about 85% efficiency and heating can be neglected. The question is what would be easier to use...Hey bbe what lens set did you use for spatial filter ?

BBe, I buildt next module- maybe now will be wrk fine
From my nitice I have 16mm betwen cylinder lens, and about 40mm betwen diode lens and first cylinder- you have similar?
Spot at aperture 3x2mm. At 5m distance 6x3,5mm (it's from one diode only)
1x8W RGB 2x3W G
3x12W RGB (in progres)
M2.0 M3.0
Bolo, i have 19.6mm between telescope lenses (from back to back) and 33mm from diode retainer front side to first cylinder back side. Beam at aperture is 1.9x3.8mm (for one diode)
