    Hi,

me and Isabell are back @home. Thanks to all for the great LEM. Phoned to some other German Laserfreaks on my way back.
Like Schwarzenegger i can say "I will be back" :-) But not alone next Year !

Hope also to see some of you at one of our Laserfreak - Meetings here in Germany. The next and biggest one is in May, 10th

Biggest Thanks to Dimitri..some hard Days for you. Everybody who host an Event like this nows that. Hope you dont Need to go to
    Work tomorrow ...

Some Words about my Setup: I use my own Software "Dynamics". This uses only the Hardware from jmlaser.com (except Easylase I , too old.. ).
The Software can connect to 20 DAC´s. We viewed 1-Scanner, 2-Scanner and 3-Scanner Shows. I can map every "internal Scanner" to one ore more
DAC´s. Every DAC can be tuned in Size, Color, Offset or can be inverted / Swapped in his Axis. This also during the Show is running.

    Greetings and Thanks !
    Isabell & Guido

is the livestream down? got home, had to play on the wii with my little pet shop with my youngest daughter, very different than configuring and tuning a 2.5W green dpss with pico driver ;-)
Now girlfriend is busy with her study, youngest watching scooby doo and elder daughter with a friend, time to read the posts and sort all photo's and pictures.

The LEM was great for me, after a troubleshooting session with live call to denmark we got the pico driver up and running but the green was in tem1 or tem0, the one with dual green dots, didn't know about it but after measuring the output power, using LEGO blocks (YES Rob, LEGO blocks, remember), to position the powermeter head and tuning the temperature we managed to get it into optimum beam shape and gained 1W (from 1.5 to 2.5). Thanks Poul, Bart, Maurice, Johan and all others who assited in tools and advise.

@Guido, realy enjoyed your shows man, great work and very nice electronics.

    Will miss my bartender moments.

    2 dots is TEM01
1 perfect dot (the one you want) is TEM00
I assume we are talking DPSS green here.
If you ever have DPSS problems: hit me up, I love tinkering and working with DPSS sytems (greens primairly but blues are fine too, I do not like the reds though)

    Hi Guys,

We just got home from the LEM. We unloaded the car and then drove to the Hackerspace where the four (Keith, James, Tony and i) met up with Manfred and Reinder again.
we gave a small demonstration of our 100W Lasercutter we built ourselves and then went to my home again.

I want to thank EVERYBODY that was there for their presence, lasers, fun, sharing knowledge and the funny photomoments, fun at the bar.
This was by far one of the best LEMs since we started in Marrum. Great to see so many people, that came from UK (Tony, Keith&James), Germany (Guido & Isabell) and Belgium (JeeJeeDR). Or came from all the way south by Train (Mr. Floppy) or by car for a 3 to 4 hour drive (PeterB).

To make it a bit personal like i always do, will thank everyone in person.

Ofcourse we start with Fred and his wife Janneke that took really good care of us, with nice breakfast, baked eggs, milk, coffee, tea, beer, cola etc.

Tony for the great sport you are, having fun on the phone with harry, laughing our arses off with the silly pictures we took and the fun we had in my house and the hackerspace.
James for tagging along with Keith, not knowing about lasers and now you are really interested in them and learned so much from you about internet services.
Keith for taking these breathtaking photographs, capturing the moment as we went on during the whole weekend, even during dinner and in the hackerspace.
Manfred for showing so much interest in our laserhobby, while also explaining stuff we do in our hackerspace to all interested, and for the funny moments!
Reinder for helping out all the time, with everything, explaining the electronics side and having fun as well.
Stijn for coming all that long with public transport, filming the Raffle and making the timelapse. Brilliant colors mate !
Michel for the funny jokes sitting at the bar and for playing bartender all night. Excellent beertapping skills mate!
Bart for explaining the more advanced stuff in a way i even could understand it and offering help and tips on building modules
Ernst for bringing the nice set of 4 x 5W projectors that formed the backbone of the LEM. Steady, working projectors with cool colors and lots of power (20W real power!)
Joost and Wesley for bringing the full diode lasers so we could have a look at the new green diodes, their power, color and modulation and beamspecs!
Johan for talking about his developments in laserbuilding and sharing his ideas with everybody.
MasterPJ for bringing his own created shows in QM and adjusting them last moment for playback from Beyond!
Guido for bringing his awesome Netlase box, cool shows and explaining a lot about the Raytrack drivers that i just love and for inviting to the Laserfreak meeting in May!
Isabell for the nice talks about lasers, Germany, also the talks with my girlfriend Annelieze, she also enjoyed the conversations! Looking forward meeting you and Guido in May.
Richard for talking about his developments in the waterjets that he made, and showing movies of his shows, really appreciate also explaing Reinder about it.
Vincent for showing up for his first time, unfortunate that he had to leave early because his daughter injured her arm, we will be in contact !
Maurice for the explanation and advice on my dual blues that gone down a lot in power, showing new features in Beyond!
SrS for showing the new smoke machine with lights and co2 like effects !
Patrick for meeting up again and the nice talks about the practical sides of lasershowing (always nice to share best-practices), nice meeting you after such long time!
Jeroen for bringing nice goodies to sell and the great talks about lasers and fun in general, appreciate also the long drives you make to get here too.
PeterB for driving a really good 3 to 4 hours to be there just for one day, lot of people would have skipped, he made it, probably drove the same time as his stay lasted.

And last but certainly not least: ROB STANWAX for providing a nice ILDA GEM for our Raffle. It was won by VJ ERNST.
Movie of the raffle is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4d1j...ature=youtu.be

I hope next year we will the last/middle row up too and we hit 30 participants ( it was now 21, which was again higher as last year).
Hopefully coming year we meet more enthousiastic people on the other meetings (UKLEM, Laserfreak Meetings) and maybe they like coming to our LEM as well.

It was absolutely fabulous atmosphere, people were learning and sharing knowledge, great times at the bar, the snacks that Fred brought along, the nice breakfast, the cool chinese/indonesian buffet we had (and pizzas for people that didn't like chinese food).

    Highlights for me were:
3 people from the UK, 2 from Germany, 1 from Belgium !
Positive , humoristic atmosphere all throughout the weekend!
The Netlase box Guido brought with 10 Netlases in there.
Dynamics software and the ease of use (configuring the 8 projectors for the saturday night show just took minutes at the start and in between shows, reconfiguring a 3-scanner show to go to different outputs only took seconds, click click click and GO!)
Most impressive was when Guido added in my projector while the show was running already on 7 projectors and without any hassle he just added my projector while the show was running, amazing software, stable and very nice shows. A relief to hear something different than "Ameno", like we had last couple of LEMs ;-)
Last but not least: The nice end dinner we had with the group!

Thanks everyone again for making this weekend as great as it was !
Hope to see you all (and even more people) next year around January 2015.

    Kind regards,
    Dimitri aka Hobbybob
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

    What an outstanding LEM!

It was a great pleasure to be invited and spend time with you all, discussing lasers, playing shows, learning new and amazing things and drinking a little too much beer :P

Thank you Guido for letting me test my LSX shows on your laser. Those beams are beautiful and I was amazed with the Raytrack 35plus scanners which mostly kept up with my point-heavy shows!
Also, thanks for entertaining us all with your awesome shows last night! I have some great photos which I'll upload as soon as I get a chance.

Ernst - Thanks for all of your advice and all the laughs. Your laser builds are fantastic and the beams looked amazing (more photos to come).

PeterB - It was great to meet you and chat. I hope you can be at the next LEM so we can talk some more.

Johan also, thanks for your advice on my coming build and telling me about your intriguing new module. I look forward to seeing it.

Tony - Although you are sitting across the table from me while I'm writing this, thanks for all the laughs and a now familiar face. I look forward to more LEMs with you around in the future.

Fred - What a great guy! Thanks for all your hospitality - keeping us fed, watered and our beer glasses topped up. I will email you with the photos with you in and a link to the rest of the photos.

Michel - You did Fred proud and I blame you for the hangovers - not that I'm complaining - I haven't had such a laugh in a while! Your single mode laser was impressive - glad you got the green sorted so you could play.

Bart - it was a pleasure seeing you create cues in Beyond - You do some really creative stuff.

There are so many to thank - I'm still trying to process all the names and everything I've learnt over the weekend!

Big BIG thanks to Dimitri, who is still being a great host to us. You have worked so hard both before and during the LEM to make everyone was happy.
Thanks for hosting my brother and I, picking us up from the airport, showing us around your town and making sure we were fed and watered.
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting your hackspace too - it's every geeks dream! I could happily live in there, playing with Tesla coils, 100W laser cutters, 3D printers, automated beverage system (and everything else) and being surrounded by some of the nicest, cleverest and most creative geeks I've met.

Also, thanks to Annelieze, for sorting out our bedding - it was a pleasure to meet you.

I look forward to getting the next Dutchlem date in my diary!

    Keith
