Those are fiber pigtailed high brightness 4W 808nm diodes
I might relay contact info if some serious buyers are interested

... I've bought a 9Watt@975nm diode from Lumics in 2007 for around 350€ and last year got the info that they will cost 230€ each in packages of 5 or more - didn't know 4W@808nm are so expensive ...
Viktor
I've nothing to say about pricing, this is what came from them, so this is for your information if you find it relevant
EDIT: it has nothing to do with power, they are high brightness 105µm core so I think it is a decent reason in itself for the price to be higher... there is a vast variety of lasre diode types out there... have you had a look at the price for a 808nm wavelength stabilized 1W diode?
... compare the 808nm@4w diodes with the 975nm@9W here: http://www.lumics.com/products/multimode-diode-laser/
They are nearly identical in all other specs ...
When I've bought the 975nm@9W-diode it was for more energy-density and highest available wavelength for metal powder melting, the pricing W/€ was comparable.
Have some 9W and 25W diodes from IPG with 0.1mm fiber too, that are in the same pricing range - so better ask for actual prices ...

976nm profits from the much higher volume of the booming fiber laser pump market and also better diode material, with higher yield and efficiency.
So yes, 976nm is usually cheaper.
Andreas
A fresh quote is 329€ per diode for 5 diodes, without any negociations... prices asked for were pretty actual in fact
... good to know, thanks!
I have some 5W, 9W and 25W of the 975nm-diodes with 105µ-fiiber and one 1W@808nm with 50µ-fiber and a Coherent multi-diode with 25W@808nm through a x19-fiberbundle, so was thinking about single-diodes with more power per fiber for material processing ...
Viktor
i can provide 25W 976 nm MM 105/125 um core/clad size diode.
... 808nm is slightly better for marking applications for better absorption, but then you'll need the right energy-density too - I'll estimate, with 1mm OD you'll get a focus diameter of maybe 0.6mm best ... this is roughly 40x bigger than 0.1mm, so comparable to my 975nm-diodes with 105µ-fiber with 1Watt of power ... not really a bummer for marking :-/
Actually I'm marking with 445nm-diodes with 2Watts of power and a spot diameter of around 40 microns with good results - the wood-disk has 50mm diameter, the black anodized aluminium piece has 80x50mm.
