Nothing Noob about your question:

The 4 line gratings are from another supplier; they basically spread one beam into thousands of other beams all on the same plane creating a massive sheet effect based on beams; stick an RGB laser thru it; I will stick a laser thru one and take a photo if you want.

Correction; I just checked; the 42mm gratings split one beam into 30+ I just fired a little laser module up to test one.
