Sorry you lost your work but I feel that the title is misleading. It should say "Good *explicit* job, I accidentally overwrote my show"

If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
LSX is also to blame here. its me and LSX.
Thanks spec for the edit. Clearly you dont see this as a serious bug in the software.
I also dont appriciate the fun you put in this. Its your forum unfortunatly.

I don't appreciate you mangling the word appreciate. Think of the children.
Bug in software? Maybe, who knows. I don't. You were trying to encrypt Brony porn. Ohh wait. I'm thinking of someone else.
Yep, my board. Don't like it: Feel free to start your own. Ohh wait.
It doesn't help now, but this is one reason I always save revision numbers as I close that way worst case I only lose last work since opening.
Real bummer. I couldn't imagine the pain.

Oh yeah try to piss me off more nice....
My apologies for the bad word in the topic title. But losing 20 hours is not nice, and this is something that should be fixed because im not the only one to blame. Lsx is too.
I have trouble keeping my rage/anger down when mad like this.

So back off and think about what's important. All Spec's telling you is that there's stuff you can't do. Most of the world will sit silent about that stuff and let you crash into it. You need to change some things about how you work. Now is as good a time as you'll get. It's better this way, even if it doesn't feel like it. Do it now, don't wait till you go numb with depression. That's much harder. If you're fired up about this, change is easier.
Not that any of it is so urgent that a bit of sleep can't get in the way..
Sorry to hear you lost access to a file but calm down.
What I would advice is a save protection where it checks if the size of the show on save is smaller compared to the previous save being overwritten by giving a prompt in the event that happens.
Another solution would be to implement a extra backup save file where with every overwrite it keeps one previous revision of the save in the backup file.
Can you not please? Thanks very much.
I'm not a brony anymore incase you wonder.
