I was a contractor with Nullsoft before and after the AOL buy out. It was me who ordered the Pure Star with Aol's money. I had known rmud from many years back. He got us our setup from LSDI. First came LVS a mod of the AVS plugin. Next rmud and mattp did the mame32 plugin. I think we might have been the first to do a small network stack for talking with pangolin over eth. Bill would have to correct me on that im sure. We first started on QM32 and later the PCI card.

Nope. It was Justin Frankel who wrote it. Same guy who wrote the original Winamp (before AOL bought it). He made a deal with Bill Benner. He agreed to write the AVS Laser Visualizer plug-in for the QM-2000, and Bill comp'd him some hardware for his trouble.

I sent Justin a message a couple years ago asking if he'd ever be up for the challenge of re-visiting the original plug-in to update it with some new features. He was noncommittal about the idea, but he didn't dismiss it out of hand. Wonder if we reached out to him as a group from PL, if that would be enough to get him back into the game?

Robert Mudryk was the guy behind Laser-Mame (well, Matt Pollock helped too).
