Nd:??? / KTP Crystal Set on TEC

I bought this "KTP" crystal set used on eBay some time ago. IIRC, it is a 532nm package.
I was hoping maybe someone would know what laser it is out of or have an idea of weather
it is any good and if so what its threshold might be. The entire "module" measures
42x34x32mm. Looking down the "bore", it appears that the coating(s) may be flaking /
damaged. If nothing else, maybe the TEC can be reused. This could explain why only
white light appears to come out when I try pumping it with a flashlamp. Not much energy
can get in this way though. I ordered some 1W 808nm diodes to experiment with this and
other modules.

Thank you. Yes, it looks like you are right. This appears to be a 473nm set and not the
532nm I had thought. That might explain the blueish light I'm getting. I still fear that it is
hosed, though. Looking through it just does not look right. It looks almost like the
coating is peeling.

I popped the LBO out and got a closer look. Bad news, folks.



The coating is coming off. I guess it has been open to the environment for far too long.
There was also a 0.001" foil shim underneath the copper holder. The alignment of these
things must be just ridiculous.



The good news is the vanadate and OC are still pristine. Any ideas on what the next
step might be?
