As for it being too bright, we should have a lot more power in the other projectors this time around, so the beam rails won't wash out the other projectors like they did last time. (I'm not even going to bring my 3 lower power projectors this time, because the Pluto's are so much brighter.)

Also, several people have PM'ed me about organizing a trip to either Disney, Universal, or Sea World to coincide with this FLEM. Brad already mentioned going to Disney Hollywood Stuido (formerly MGM) on Thursday, and then hitting Universal on Friday. Anyone else want to kick around ideas for other theme park trips? (Personally, I'd love to go see Blue Man Group again... They do shows nightly at the custom theater they have right at the entrance to Universal, across the river from the City Walk.)

ok, and I would possibly be down for a Disney/Universal trip I guess monies permitting... unfortunately my seasonal pass to Disney has lapsed

I could bring a scrim that would probably do the entire wall but, I'm guessing you want something that can be terminated against.

    Hello,

Is there room for one more?

I'm planning on attending if there is.

I don't have much to show, but I can bring my "Winnie" Golden Star Laser projector if anyone wants to see one in person.

I have a small truss that I can bring to hold a screen if needed.

I will be driving down from the Boston area, so if anyone wants anything from the Northeast, let me know.

    Hey Ed;

There's always room for one more! Happy to have you aboard!

That's a nice looking projector you've got there. Please bring it with you if it's not too much trouble. Also, how much power is it rated for?

With regard to your truss - can you post a picture of what it looks like? The venue has very low ceilings, but if the truss isn't too heavy it might work for a screen. I have a set of tripods with poles that can hold a scrim, and in a pinch we could hang a sheet on it to make a screen, but your truss may be better-suited for this.

What time do you anticipate arriving in the area?

    Hello,

Great! I'm looking forward to this.

Okay, I will bring my projector. It has the following installed:

    Laserwave Red: 637nm/170mw
    Laserwave Green: 532nm/200mw
    Laserwave Blue: 445nm/800mw
    DT40 Pro Scanners

Not the most powerful, but it is only for my use.

I will set up the truss in the morning, then take some measurements and pictures. I think it will work fine with a low ceiling. It is not rated for a lot of weight, but a sheet or other cloth would be no problem.

I am going to start down on the Wednesday before and plan to be in Orlando no later than Thursday night. I will be available all day Friday and Saturday.

Sounds great Ed! I'm looking forward to the pics of your truss.

I will be at the venue around noon on Friday, so we can start setting up then. DZ should be there with me as well. Feel free to give me a ring on my cell phone when you're in town. (843) 324-0735 (I should be arriving late Thursday evening. I'll be staying at my mother's house, which is just down the street from the venue.)

Friday we will probably head out for dinner around 6 PM or so, and then we'll come back to the venue for more laser fun in the evening. Saturday will be a long day - we usually crank up between 9 and 10 am, and we run until at least midnight if not later.

Looking forward to seeing you there dude!

It is 8' tall and 8' wide. It has a center load rating of only 100 pounds, but should be fine for a screen.

I will try and be there at noon also. It will take me 5 minutes to setup my stuff, but I would be happy to help with whatever load-in is needed.

I have a small 4' folding table I can setup on. Should I bring it or does the venue have tables?

Is there any thing else I should bring?

What is the address of the venue?

Can't wait to meet everyone, plus I love road trips!

    ED
