That was amasing !!!
I guess you can do the same setup if you got a Creative web-cam with motion tracktion on a "light" ..
So the webcam read the laser, then generate that into another program that draw a pencil line.... than a projector that draw that on the wall
Possible yes.. and cool !!!
I just bought myself a 2600 ANSI Lumens projector.. Their website has the program to download to do it yourself.. I wouldn't mind trying a smaller version of that.. i need to get a tracker camera though.. i believe the one they got was around $500 though..

hmm
I have a Video-input pci card on my Computer..
So can`t I just use a regular DV cam as a tracker ??
hmm need to download that software and make a try VERY cool !!!!
I actually misunderstood the thread originally, I thought the image on the building was meant to be laser.
I have a couple of DLPs and one of them is 1500 lumen, it might be fun to try.
Just need to sort the tracking out cheaply
Jim
wow
I did down the software, install my webcam and run the app..
It was a nice little program that did start..
Just hit the 1 to start Cam, and the tracking did begin
Then find my 80mW green Leadlight and start drawing
It did all work out great.... the only problem with using the webcam instead of my Haugpage video card, was the FPS in the webcam..
So if you draw a cirlce at normal speed, the computer se this as a square becouse of slow update..
But it did work out great So tomorrow maybe I take my Projector and make a try on the wall outside (you really dont need a projector to make this cool)
Anyway, my idea:
-Place the projector on a wall
-Place the RGB scanner to the same wall
-Calibrate them
-Adjust the settings to draw at fast speed, and make it fade out automaticly.
Then you have a NICE "fade out" effects on the wall from the graphiq effect from the laser itself
pretty cool app to be free....
liteglow... are you saying you can get a webcam, pointer, this software, and a projector, and do something similar to the video but with lasers?
That is true
But with a webcam you have no zoom.. so align it would be a damn problem.. you have to move your projector\webcam back and forward....
With a TV-input card you got a much much faster cam (more FPS) and you have zoom to align it perfectly '
I did test with my projector and webcam .. did work out 95% OK..
But after 5-10 min was boring....
