I guess I am left with a few questions. If you are asking about a retina photo, I should probably ask this; based on the date of the original post up until now, are you having any problems with your vision? If you aren't, there is nothing to worry about. With lasers, anything of power that would hurt your vision would be apparent right away. It isn't something that will creep up on you a few weeks after you flashed yourself in the eye. You would know. In fact, people who have flashed themselves report that the spot in their vision gets less pronounced as time goes one because our brain will compensate for the "missing data". So, are you still seeing an after image, e.g. a spot in your vision?

I was kind of wary of my sight before i got the laser to be honest. Almost like my acuity on my right side of vision is not as good as it is on the left. Then when i start using the laser, albeit for no more than ten minutes, not reflecting or shining anything in my eye but just looking at the dot, it sent me google mad in case i'd just done damage. Nothing like a dot or spot of missing vision, no. I realize there was a large gap between now and OP.

If there is no residual after image after this long, you are fine. Like a said above, if you don't have any problems now or see any spots or anything, you are fine. Laser related eye injuries are immediate, they don't show up later. You should be good to go.

Like anything dangerous, lasers shouldn't be feared but it is important to respect the dangers, especially around others.

BTW, Google is the worst possible tool in the hands of a hypochondriac (not saying you are one). If you think you might have an ailment... Google will confirm, 100%, that you have it, whether you do or not!

    Indeed!
I do not have my namesake's mastery of the differential diagnosis (and only some of his bedside manner) but if any condition is suspected the easiest way is to look it up, and check for any symptom that should be present but isn't, thus ruling out that condition.

If you're sure something weird is going on, it may be so regardless of the views of experts, but in this case all you can do is watch carefully, because you're in the best position to do it. A lot of visual problems that aren't necessarily problems may result from fatigue or just trying to operate in low light. (People working with lasers a lot tend to do that, as it happens...) The thing to do is not to form an idea and try to catch it out, but to just note what actually happens, whatever doesn't seem right. That can be important because frequency or timing of events can be a clue, and only notes will log that stuff. Context is important too, so note that. If you get bored with doing this for lack of interesting observations, it may indicate that there isn't enough wrong to make your mind and body concerned with it.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

and here's the very nice response from Gang:

    "Hi, Christopher,
sorry to know this. Let me find out who did this and have this stopped forever.
    Thank you for your note.

    Yours,

    Gang"
