Default led version of the martin colour pro 400?

Heya, Is any one aware of a led version of the martin colour pro 400?
When I was learning lighting we had these in the club.
Pretty cool with a shutter, 2 colour wheels & different sizes of the beam.
They where great on a mirror ball.
An led version would be the bomb.

    Not really.

Most colour changers are now rgb led's with maybe amber and white led's in the posher ones.
Generally they're PAR can type affairs, but I have seen some pinspot and profile type fixtures, though they're not cheap...
If you're after the same effect, but with an led source, there's plenty of cheap moving yoke dmx kit out of China that's similar with white 30/60/90 watt led's driving the output...

Try looking through the Chauvet or Showtec websites for their (slightly) better versions of the China stuff?
Also, Lanta in the UK make (or did - I haven't had call to look at their stuff for a while!) Some pretty cheap rgb led pinspots... they might be close to what you're after?
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

Cool thanks man. price is right on that one.
One of our "trade mark" looks for big gigs was to put an 8 inch mirror ball inside a piece of vertical tri truss ( at the top).
we would then put the pro 400 in the bottom of the tri truss.
we would have one each side of the dj.

    Oooh! That'll work nicely!

Though I suspect it'll have quite a large beam diameter... though that might be better as it'll hit more of the bottom of the mirror ball, giving you a wider 'spread' of the pattern.

Have fun, and post some pictures!
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

Thats it bro. I was really lucky that when Jeff Mills played in NZ for the first time I got to do the lights. We did the set up there.
The hard core techno peeps where surprised with his set as he played a lot of disco house (classic).
When he finished and the local dj's went to work on some awfully serious and @ times a little bit scary techno.
    Good times.
