I do not think there has been too much work with these so far. However, based on the posts by DT a little while ago I believe the combination of a G-2 collimator followed by a -50mm and +100 mm cylinder pair will give performance similar to the M series and 9mm 445 diodes. This produces an approximately 4mm x4mm near field and 0.25mrad divergence. The green will probably be a little better yet because the collimated divergence is similar in character but a little better than the blue. The wings on the green are pretty visible and so I suspect at least a single axis spatial filter will be necessary to produce a really, really nice beam.
I'm waiting for DT. Once the prices get a touch lower (I don't need a 1/2 of a 1/2 of $700 however) I will plug a pair of these in a cooled box identical to the red duo in my last video inorder to provide the green for the Saturn based projector. I will use the optics I described above (with a PBS and a 1/2 wave plate I already have) and tweak the FL, positions and telescope optics to optimize. I'll post a video of the projector or if that moves too slowly because of Pangolin then I'll post a video of the green set up when that part is done.
It's getting closer isn't it. I'm doing a couple of projector builds that'll need 2W+ of green over the next few months and its a real toss up between LAserwave OEM-V-SS heads and dual 520nm module. The 532 has it at the moment. Cost is not my overall driving factor either.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Out of curiosity, what are your driving factors?
Size (the OEM-V-SS is very small) and the DPSS wins on beam specs and colour (imho).
My favourite shades are the ambers and oranges and this will be sacrificed to some degree with the diode setup.
These will be used for big rooms and outdoors so the very tight beam of the DPSS will be useful.
Any diode module I use will be strictly passively cooled, as I want it as simple as possible.

Those are good points. The beam specs will probably be close. My dual 445 is a little better than my Laserwave V-S, but only after spatial filtering. The color is a real issue. The blues are so powerful and the reds have shifted to the blue ie 650 to 638 to increase power. I am afraid of what the blends will look like, even if the green moves only 12nm. Have you seen the two green sources and their mixing?
Not compared yet but I'm about to order one of Laserwave's combined RGB modules (the low power one using the 120mw 520 diode) for a client so I'll get to have a play when I install it.

Norty,
Are you purchasing the module that is 120R+120G+120B?
120 of 520, 170 of 637, 500 of 450
They can do them with dual greens and 1k blues too.

They can also do a 3.6 watt all diode using the 1 watt 520. That's what I'm thinking about getting.
