Something STRANGE is going on here

We all have gotten email notes that a new post has been made.

However I got one recently that I cannot figure out or (nor can mixedgas) understands and Steve told me to fwd it at once to the janitor., which I have but nothing back yet. And i do not know what that means either-

The supposed poster it not in our member list- the post or any sign of it is NOT in the thread and my PM was rejected -- Am I incorrect thinking that IF this member got clubbed would not their existence be seen in the member list even if banned-- are admin removed posts or poster deleted posts still not there as a note of such deletion.
The post was one of praise BUT I think it was sarcasm.

Whether you have a problem with me or none this still could be a sign of a bigger problem-

BTW the link in the email works but this thread has but two posts and both are mine-- sender was 'Simes123'

any ideas?? do we have any new members who are also hackers or trouble makers?? and why me??

do you need to see the email i got??

maybe the post was deleted after you got the notification. "simes123" sounds like a bot name or a spammer.

OK but at 'other' forums we see 'deleted by Simes123' and even if banned we would find them in the member list--

How can a non existent member make a post that leaves no trace that it was ever there in the thread?
Or on the member list?? I have seen many that were clue by foured--& what would be the point of the lefthanded compliment??

whats weird is no such post or sign of one having been there and then deleted
this mysterous poster has no profile page and is not in the member list.
his 'post' was kind BUT it may have been sarcasm as i am not very concise in my posts.

Steve Roberts told me to fwd all this to you here is what he said about this.

I tried to send 'him' a PM but that did not go thru--
the link was clicked by me (twice) it went to that PL thread- go -you wont see any such post.



could there be a realtionship between this Simes123 AND Steve seeing that he was banned at the other forum? His password stopped working- we all were able to go to Steves profile and there was no ban showing at any time-
it was not showing in any old posts of steve's.

Hackers are starting to exploit the forum software and use it for back channel communication. Not just here, but lots of places. We have problem. Tell spec right now.

Ok I like to think i TRY to be interesting- 'clear' Hmmm I sometimes confuse myself 'concise'

oh, that's a total spam post.

spec probably nuked the account which automagically removes all posts that were created by the account.

have no concerns/worries about it.
