That is something you have to ask Pangolin about.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

That is something I never managed to understand about pangolin, all this "top secret" stuff

it is just a bloody pricelist for bob's sake.

we have had all these posts of what they can do and how they are superior to everything else in or close to their pricerange, but we don't know the price....
    nice!

are the people here that have bought, not allowed to tell?

    DING!DING!DING!

Why not just message Pangolin??? That's how I did it, and it was pretty easy.

that would make sense if it was a pre-production thingy, or everyone was getting special pricing
(but if it was for everyone, then it would not be so special, right?)

Nice way of creating hype around the product, or collecting email addresses for ones database

It's not a finished product yet, they don't have amps, so there is no 'retail price' on these. They either selling these in their hundreds without amps, or in ones or twos, with Bill personally doing the scanner mods. So for me tell you what I paid would have no relevance to you, as it's clearly not what the bulk buyers are paying, and neither do I know what Bill has charged anyone else.

Once they can sell you a full set with amps, I expect they're going to be around the price of DT40's

P.S. I don't think I'm even going to pay the same price for different sets of mine, as my first sets didn't even have the production position sensors

So, I had some dialogue with Bill over the weekend, and it appears he's made some progress with the newer amplifier mods, and can now get the 506's up to 50k with the standard mirrors! I haven't yet enquired what scan angle this was at with the ILDA test (or indeed any test pattern), but I'm hopefully taking delivery of some 50k tuned sets shortly (and I believe some other people too!), so I'll report back once I've had a chance to run them.

Clearly these "only designed as 30k scanners" can do more than their design brief.

Other improvements/changes are that the mounting block now has M3 threads in the bottom, and some holes repositioned slightly. So the user feedback does work!

    Sounding great.
I'm waiting for Bill to say he has two sets with my name on them then I can send him my amps.

Feedback never seam's to go amiss with Pangolin.

I am excited about this progress, but frustrated by the one off nature of these systems. Until the Pangolin amps can be provided with these systems this seems almost amateurish. As much as I like the cutting edge of these scanner motors, I do appreciate that as long as I don't need documentation or a well constructed web site, if I want an EMS 8000 I can just buy it...now.
