    I believe we all had a blast. There were lots of improvements across the board at this year's SELEM. Set-up was smoother, schedules were established (and frequently followed!), projector quality in both venues improved, new and fun content was presented, advancements in lumia were shared, several new and exciting hardware and software advancements were introduced, etc., etc.

    I'm looking forward to seeing what we all will accomplish by next year!

    Order placed!

    Now it's a race! Which will arrive first? Place your bets!
    1: my copy of LSX;
    2: my Compact 506's;
    3: a modified set of amps from mixedgas

    I placed an order from Newport last night. I fully expect that to arrive before any of the above.

    0. Something you haven't even ordered from DZ yet, but it still shows up first.

    suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

    Newport stuff first without a doubt.

    Then it's a toss up for amps and 506's although I'll lean towards 506's first.

    LSX in 2015... maybe. I've learned you don't buy anything from Andrew unless he's physically standing in front of you.

    We'd normally be able to get 506s out pretty quickly, but we've received a few large orders, and we've made a few small modifications to the 506 which makes it easier and faster for us to assemble. Because of that, we're waiting on parts. So normally the 506s would arrive and amps from Steve at the same time and in the same package. (I'd recommend sending the amps to us so we can tune them and ship all together.) But in this case, you might have to wait a few weeks.

    Well, since I'm not part of the first-round amp buy, I expect I will be waiting a little longer than that... either from Steve's second-round red-board amp buy (if there is one), or if that falls through, some suitable replacement.

    I would LOVE to have the set professionally tuned! I was going to do it myself, but I am no master... I bow before the closed-loop PID feedback illuminati. Depends on timing, I guess, what should get shipped where when.

    I'm not as shabby as I used to be. I have managed to get it down to 45 minutes with 0'd pots (IS, SG, LFD, HFD). Still, the galvos that Bill tuned for me looked better than any I have done.
