laser projection max distance?
I'm wondering whats the longest distance you've used your projectors at? I know that when you decrease the scan angle you can project more points, and if you increase the distance you need less scan angle. This is why I'm interested.
(I have 2W rgb projector)

This is my farthest projection to date, for a test, at a distance of >600 meters according to google maps. So yes you can project at very long distances with lasers
But don't be fooled, this isn't going to happen with your 2w rgb. Divergence and power are the main parameters to look after for a long distance projection, and the laser I used for that is an OPSL >8W green with the low divergence optics fitted (0.5 mrad). With your setup I estimate a max of 50-100 meters would be reasonable for a decent result, maybe a bit more if divergence is good and with a dark moon...
Now you just have to go out with your setup and test all that

2,8 km
this is kvant at 2,8 km but the divergence is your enemy, the beams are around 1-3 meters wide at such distance (the inner overlay spot was around 1 meter, the tightest being the green), maybe it's possible to focus beams into certain spots in distance but i don't know how this would work with mirrors on scanners
