Ok, you've got me confused now. I never said talk to Pangolin, that was Al. If you want to light the LEDs you'll need to be able to send feedback to the APC. Doesn't matter what software it is, but it'll need to send feedback. The value you send back will dictate what the led does.
I have no idea what you mean about the slider affecting colour. Do you mean colour of the laser? That is something you'll need to map in the software.

Laserlips, I would imagine cost might be a good reason why you wouldn't mix DMX as a starting point.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Yeah I thought you were on Pangolin. Maybe Mamba support could help you.

What happened to the original subject of this thread or can we expect that it goes quitly into the night?

My vote is in for the controller that reads my mind and converts it into midi signals to load the cue I think about with the FX I'm also thinking about... so I just visualize a blue and red parabola ripple and it loads the closest cue. Well back to reality, the APC40 is pretty close to everything I need, except quite a bit more buttons to cover the whole visible grid of QuickFX's in Beyond's button grid. I guess 4x25 buttons would be reasonable there.
