    Nice find Maurice.

What looks even more interesting though is the new APC Mini at only $99.

It looks ideal to partner the APC 40 side by side as it has more grid buttons 8x8 as opposed to 5x8, so potentially is better suited for cue triggering with maybe the APC 40 Mk 1 / 2 buttons mapped to other functions (maybe FX?)

I'm not keen on the sunken slider and rotary encoder grooves. Pots are difficult enough to keep clean without the addition of a dirt well to collect beer, ash, dust and whatever else ends up covering your prized kit.

I got my Akai APC mini today, and what a waste of money.
The board seems nice, but there is NO led whatsoever, I manage to install it and use the button in Mamba III.
When I press one button one effect start, when I hold in another they all just stop.
I have to press one, let it go, then press the next and it works OK.

But the APC MINI is dark as night, so I guess using it on a club in darkness will be useless, need to add a light or something.
on the pictures it seems like there should be light on the buttons ? but mine is just totally dark.

You will need to configure midi feedback from the application to cause the LEDs to illuminate I'd have thought. There is probably a config doc as for the big APC that indicates what message/value does what.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

A quick internet search revealed that they haven't released one yet. However, using a midi monitor and then trying some of the options from the APC40 communication protocol doc might get you somewhere.

Norty is correct, it's probably a feedback issue.

Chat to Bob at Pangolin as he's the guy who could really help you here with the technicalities.

ok,I was not aware that you needed feedback from software.
I thought that the LED communication was inside the board and buttons once you connected power.

Well it is, but they need to know what colour they need to be
