From the little I know about these controllers, I think you need to load a "profile" into most software to get them to work. You can't seem to connect them out of the box plug and play style.

Again, I recommend you contact Bob. Pangolin may be in the process of supporting this controller, but even if they are not, Bob will most probably be able to tell you how to test the lights with maybe a simple feedback script.

As I said, try using the APC40 communication protocol doc and send some typical values such as 01, 02, 03, 7E, etc
They haven't done a doc yet but there's a good chance they use the same as the other APCs. Only thing is the new ones have 3 colour LEDs but the old one doesn't, so that's at least 1 set of values unique to the mini.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    8 Faders
    8 endless encoders
    8 x 8 frame launch pads
Joystick that does not return to the middle after you release
A few buttons which can change banks of frames, do other things that require a button.
DMX abilities for strobes and moving heads.
    A mirror for checking yourself.
    Emergency cigarette and ashtray holder.

Seperate buttons and faders for DMX. DMX outputs of course. A seperate entity but in the same box.
....I just want to be able to turn a strobe on and off. I don't really know about DMX. He said wish list so I'm wishing

Why can't you have DMX stuff in the same box?

Dont know if you say I can talk to pangolin anyway, but I use Mamba III and not Pangolin.

Without lights in the board, and with a lack of support in MIII for the sliders, I really dont see any use of the APC 40 (or mini)

What I think would be nice is an option to change colors with the slider also.
