Sounds great.. ..another wonderful 'hot / fruit' baste is rasberry-jam (not jelly, and the thicker / more-seeds, the better.. and Chipotle-paste / sauce - amazing for grilled-chik'n... 'Cholula'-brand Chipotle and Dickenson's Rasbr'y-preserves, works well in a pinch.., and you can partition some out, for use post-grill, fer dippin / bathing-in, in a stainless-bowl under foil... That 'n some nice white cob-corn, Yum.

..and Yes, TJ - Amen to 'grilling 24/7'.. heh, it would be interesting to 'interview' those neighbors the next day after your late-nite steakin'.. '..So.. what did you dream about last nite?'

I told them if you like what you smell come out and get some. I always make extra. They never came out, LOL.

When I lived at the beach it was the best. Grilling at 3AM under the moon, and stars. Waves crashing around. Small Tiki torch for light. By the time I was done cooking, and eating it was magic hour, and I'd sit in the sand and watch the sun rise. I miss those times. Now I live in the city, cant view the sun till ~8AM, and the neighbors dont like me cooking after 10PM, and if I lit a Tiki torch they would probably call the fire department.

I agree, hot and fruit are great combos. A little sweet to cut the heat.

I couldn't imagine not firing up - the grill- when ever i wanted to, regardless of time of day/night. We grill when we're hungry and you have to be able to see. I could understand if there was a bunch of noise and commotion. If i'm smoking during the work week, don't even get started till 7pm or so... Finish up anywhere from midnight till daylight. Is it that bad living in the city? I'm glad I live out in the middle of nowhere. But down here in the dirty south, you gotta redneckinize.

There seems to be an awful lot of meat going in here. Does anyone have a decent falafel recipe?

I bet Mystrys does, if she'd get on here and post. We like falafel, although my youngest daughter called them "awful balls" several years ago.

Hehe. Can you transcribe? You might get in trouble if she comes on here

I'm surrounded by 4X 3 tenement buildings with a tiny yard between them. Each tenement has ~10 windows. So thats 120 windows that surround my little yard. So yeah, its that bad.

I lived in Atlanta 4 times in my life, and in St.Pete Florida 4 times, so I hear ya about the South. I want to move back, but my girlfriend doesnt want to leave her family. Every year I get closer to talking her into it. I'm tired of freezing my arss off up here.

    'TEXAS Armidillo Eggs

Sharp cheddar cut into cubes 1/2 to 3/4 inch
Wrapped in enough chilled Cream chez to just barely fit inside
Fresh seeded Jalos(canned are not as hot for you girly men.)
mash out HOT pan sausage into round thin shape big enough to cover the outside
    of the stuffed peppers.
If done correctly you should not be able to see the pepper but still a fairly thin layer of sausage.
Coat heavily with Shake n Bake for Pork.
bake in hot oven until you see some chez oozing-
    best served hot..
Be sure to show all one of these cut neatly in half-
As it will look like a boiled egg inside w/ the cheddar being the yoke.
There are many versions of this recipe but this one IMO is the best
It was shared with me by the Late Jack Khoury Sr. one of The Pitmeisters
Founding Fathers- He is gone now but ...always missed and never forgotten

    RIP Jack--
