LOL... too funny. Not much money being spent on my end. Just enough to have a little fun.

They are due some new stock in April, so there will probably be another GB then.

What was the collimator that you got from Meridith and how much was it?

    Default Opnext 635nm

I tried to get a "sample" of the opnext 635mn 35mW LD.
Here is a partial (edited for space) of the email.

    Anyone interested?

    (read from the bottom up)

    Steve,

Thanks for your input. Opnext is going to ask me what "volume purchase" means. Please clarify and I will push a sample request through. If I do not succeed I may have another supplier who can help you.

    Hello Jay,
I am a member of Photonlexicon, a group of laser enthusiasts both professional and hobbyists. We frequently do group buys at quantity levels to benefit all.
I realize that asking for a sample of this pricey diode is asking alot, but I was thinking that I if I could post a side-by-side comparison picture or video of a 660nm with your 635nm it might generate enough interest if the price were to be adjusted for a quantity purchase.
I do have a full lab both at home and at work with ESD protection, o'scopes etc.
    Thank You
    Steve

    Steve,

I am the local Sales Engineer for Opnext. Can you provide your phone number so I can call to get some information about your project which is required in order to obtain a sample?

    Thanks in advance,
