I think it would have been best if they had remained stoned, but alas they weren't all stoned and the rest didn't all stay stoned. I think the hippies got it almost entirely wrong and today we pay the price with political correctness, limitations on free speech and a screwed up work ethic. We can't pick and choose the wolves that run things with hugs and kisses and medical marijuana. We can't hide and then complain that "it isn't going the way it should". If you want to run away (a reasonable alternative in my mind) then don't bitch about what you leave behind. If you stay then participate in the contest to determine the rules that run the society. I'd much rather hang with pilgrims and revolutionaries than angry old (or young ) men.To bad they were too stoned keep with the times.
