Actually, I just checked, the B-R100 is classified as 3B so it Teorey-etically doesn't need one. Now... if 120mW is coming out, when it's a beam unit with steppers - unless it's a fat beam unit which it doesn't specify - I don't get the classification.

From my understanding talking with the CDRH. Each individual projector does not need its own variance per model number. Multiple model numbers can be manufactured under a single variance #

Yessir, but there still should be *some* reference to a PJ, within the Var-app / Product (and/or line) Report, ie: (we hereby submit..) 'ALL Models in the 'SingSong Series'; or 'LuckyShoeString Models: AC, DC, and ZsaZsa (but not the BlingBling' etc, etc..

..That's the 'point for clarity', here.. We have a statement: "ALL of these laser products [are] certified.."; "..lower end products that are designed very specific to the US market and fully comply with all Federal Regulations." ..Yet Brad's findings / points are very-valid questions. ..and - not the *least bit* 'false accusational' / disrespecting of anyone's 'Rep'..

..It should be the simplest of matters to simply point to the (Public Record..) docs that list, or in some-way Reference "ALL (these) models..", it's NOT just a 'blanket approval'.. (Model LMNOP from LingLong Co. is compliant / certified.. and, so, that must mean, ALL LingLongs are compliant / certified, right?.. NO DAY AIN'T!.. Read 'LW USA's Var Approval, as an example.. pretty-specific... And, if 'ALL LW models', *are, indeed*, under the "Professional Series", then, again - it should be a real-simple matter to to share the Product Report / FDA-doc, listing / referencing those Pj's - by name - in that 'Family' / under that One Variance#.

'WHY does it matter?' / Is it important to have this info? So WE, in turn, can, indeed, be pointing 'n00bs' to correct information / know what is / is-not, compliant / Certified.. Public Safety and Liability 101, ya'll...
