Thanks for the info, Adam! I have not noticed a sensitivity to fog. Glad to hear that I can look in to the possibility of coming down for part of the weekend. :-)

You will have an awesome time, trust me!

But you financial solvency will never be the same. Sorry about that! (Once you get bitten by the laser bug, it's hard to resist buying new gear. Just ask Brad!)

I was bitten by the laser bug 35 years ago. :-) It is hard to resist... especially now that capabilities are so high and costs are so "relatively" low. I have been collecting parts for a projector build, but it looks like Omar can put something similar together for the same price or better. :-\ Will it be the same quality as if I had hand-selected parts and assembled them myself? Not sure. But, that's a discussion for another thread, perhaps. :-)

You'll be able to see multiple examples of Omar's work at SELEM. At last count I think we were scheduled to have 15 Pluto II projectors present. (!)

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

i have not given up on my plans to make a little ion rig, but those single mode diode sets solved my immediate need.

Then stick around for the public laser show after SELEM ends. We'll have a few "real" lasers set up for that one for sure!

I don't fly out Sunday until 8pm. So at the cost of a ride to the airport, I am free to help for a majority of the day.

Just find the young, skinny red-head and put him to work Consider me free-labor haha

PS: ONE MONTH AWAY!!! I remember leaving last year and people saying "just 12 months until the next one". Seemed like such a fantasy at the time, but time really flies when you live in a dorm I 'spose.
Cannot wait to see you all again
