If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
Ok I got it!
As you can see in the picture it’s a small module.
The beam is corrected (I can see a prism behind the output glass).
The only one problem I find is, as often from Laserwave, the wires are very fragile on the backside of the laser unit.
The beam shape:
The beam at the aperture is ~ 4 mm (V) x3mm (H)
At 13,6 meters it’s ~ 5mm (V) x24mm (H)
The result is approx 0.073 mRad (V) x 1,5 mRad
So the divergence complies with bridge’s description.
The Output Power:
My Diy power meter was calibrated long time ago, so I admit it’s not a true one, but I measure the output power……more than 2 watt! So yes it does more than 1,5W as described.
I try it yesterday night on a scanner pair, wow! Without any smoke it’s clearly visible in the sky.
If my eyes can’t really see the 17 nm difference with a 445nm (I have not try 445 and 462 together), I clearly saw the difference between the two lambdas from visibility for the outside. The output power seems incredible. (Unfortunately I have not taken any picture, you must wait for my next gig ).
the wires:
beam ouptut:
outpout power (before it reach more than 2W)
the spot @13,6meters (how are you doing to take a good picture ?)
(nobody ask me to do this review...)

Is that thing TEC cooled? Why such an ugly mess of a driver? Seems like a lot of parts just for a diode driver. I would have like to have seen the driver inside the box or on top of it. Nice beam though.
Now size match red and green for it and make it a triplet pairing. Plug and play. What was the cost?
yes it's tec cooled.
I like when the driver is included in the laser unit but as you can see in the first picture the laser unit is very very small, the driver is bigger than it (due to the tec I think).
Does it come with that power supply? I am wanting to pickup 2 of these modules to replace some 445s I have. I have room for the laser head and driver but not that additional power supply.
What is the size of the unit. I guess what I thought was three 5 watt wire wound resistors are actually 1/4watt. It looks like the driver is about 3"x4" which is huge for a driver. Maybe put a coffee cup next to it for size reference. can't tell from the image.
Never mind I see the screwdriver. Yea that's plenty small. Soooo. What did it cost?
I think the size and power output look good. I plan to replace my 1watt 445s with these soon.
No coffee while working with laser, only screwdrivers
Yes the power supply (5,5v 7A) is delivered with .
It seem huge near the laser unit, but it's a "normal size".
I have to find some time this evening to tell you the sizes.
Does anybody got a spare unit like this one for sell ?
