If you want very large scan angle still with good graphics capability and good price, I see the Widemove scanners (M9024).
The perfect RGB ratio will be something like Red 660 = 4:1, Green 532 = 1:1, Blue 473 = 2:1.
After talking with david wu from Laserver he suggested I use a 635 nm laser instead of the maxymod 660 nm module.
He said that with the 450mw 660nm I would need to combine it with a 100mw blue and 100 mw green.
If I was to use the 635nm that was 500mw he said to combine that with a 300 green and 300mw blue...
leads me to believe that the 635nm is the way to go///... more visible light mabye?

You need more 660nm for it to seem as bright, but you have that much more "red" color to play with. You will not be able to produce the very deep reds with 635nm. This is a poor description...Think of it as having more colors on you color palette. Some body was talking of a way to combine 660 and 635. O, the Pangolin hobby kit just became available. Check the thread here...

Yeah, it sure did. See this thread for all the details.

So I undertand now that I should stick with a 660nm red to achieve deeper colors. Got it.
But I also want this projector to be bright! So is there a place to get say a 600-700mw 660nm red that is of the same quality as the maxymod 440mw dual laser setup for not some insane price?

Please help me to understand how you know all these details about the beam quality of a 635nm 500mw laser from laserver>?
I would assume you bought one or perhaps this is just a standard thing amongst 635's?
Thanks for the help understanding.
