Red in an RGB setup - please help me decide

Hello Laser People -

So I am coming to a better understanding of the red dilemma.
If I want a high power RGB projector totaling 1 to 1.5 watts and want to use a 660 nm red that is upwards of 700mW that red beam gets REAL expensive fast!

So I have the option of getting the maxyzmodules dual 660nm red that totals 440mw but that's just not enough. I am messaging with Marconi now about the possibility of combining 4 - 220mw reds... we will see.

Is possible to buy a gas 660nm beam and incorporate it into a system that uses all dpss?

Any other ideas on how I can get a quality and powerful 660 nm red beam?

Maybe I am asking for the impossible>?>???!

Another option would be an Arctos red module. These have beam specs that are better than the 635's, but not quite as good as marconis

AixiZ lasers are a rip off! There lasers are under powered no IR filters and will screw you. I bought one that was under powered and would not answer mt e-mails so I left negitive feedback, he e-mailed me right away saying if I remove the negitive feedback he would send me the right diode. After I removed the feedback I never heard from him again.
His lasers are also over priced.

the 635 800mW is only a bit much for "a good deal" and will not have IR
problems

What could concern me about it is the 6mm beam diameter at output
and the 3mrad divergence... Would look nice for beams.... but 6mm means
it will NOT fit on even the 5mm cambridge mirrors! (laserists use two sizes,
3mm and 5mm scanner mirrors for 30k scanning)

From memory, ours, which does about ~600mw was about 2300euro i think.

I believe the powers have gone up since we purchased ours a couple of years ago..

They are pretty good, just need a heap of cooling to keep them aligned..
