For what it's worth, I do exactly the same thing, Andy! Fortunately, my wife understands my obsession and puts up with it.
In fact, this year she was not able to get the time off from work to join me for the Caribb-LEM, but I'm still going! So yeah, sometimes laser meets take precedence! (Now if only I could figure out a way to entice more of you UK lads to join us in Utila this year....)

I hate flying and am poor, but come to the UK meet.
we have shit loads of fun with lots of lasers

Trust me dude - it's on my bucket list! (Brad wants to go to one too.)
I'll make it over there, I promise, but it's going to have to wait a bit longer. For sure if I fly to Europe my wife will insist that she goes too, and that's not in the cards for a couple years at least. (Limited vacation for her, and she's planning to spend it all visiting the new granddaughter in Hawaii.)
Adam
He's pressuring me to go to CarribLEM so, I'll return the favor and start pestering him about when we're coming to jolly old!
(Marie will just "have" to understand.) Lol
Bum boys ;-)

But you said in the other Thread Steve, (Hobbit) That you where coming and bringing the Laser Infinity???
The hall is now booked for Monday the 6th so, if you want, you need not pack up on the Sunday and can now be lasery all day.... and some of Monday too
I have a 100W laser power meter that I'd very much like to check out.
If I bring it along to the meet, is it likely someone will have a trustworthy meter and suitably powerful laser (20-50W or more) that I can compare it with ?
