I'm a bit miffed that I had to leave early Sat morning as it would seem I missed the most fun part of the weekend. Poor Dan cops it again with the 3D goggles and I'm guessing he didn't freely volunteer to the prank.

Again a massive thanks to Jim for his efforts for making the meets happen and it was great to catch up with everyone there on Friday.
    Nice pictures Dan.

If I missed saying good by to anybody before my departure I'm sorry but had to be on the road heading for York for 7am.

I eagerly await for Jim to announce the dates for the next meet that tend to happen late August or early September.

It's amazing how similar these LEM's are. Right down to the quad-copters with First-Person video! (Chris had his FPV quad at FLEM this past weekend as well, and he freaked out several people by letting them "ride along in the passenger seat", as it were, while he flew the quad at break-neck speed.)

Your pictures look really good! For sure you had a lot more high-power gear present than we did. (The meets in Florida don't have access to any 3 phase.) But it's clear you had just as much fun as we did. (Well, maybe more, since I saw a few air mattresses in the pictures, which means some of you actually slept in the hall. No one did that at FLEM.)

And Brad, you're right: One of these years the two of us need to make the trip over. It's on my list, trust me! It might take a few years yet though. (For sure I'd need to bring Marie on that trip!)

Andy, I would love to do it, but this summer my youngest son and his wife will be having their first baby (my second grandchild), and my oldest son and family will also be visiting from Hawaii right after SELEM ends. Between those two events I won't have any vacation left!

But I will see if it is in the cards for next year...

I'm pretty confident that neither of us can do September. Next year is "iffy" dependent on Utila and perhaps ILDA if it's going to be on the east coast of the US. If Utila can't happen in 2016, then "maybe" one of them in 2016. The meets in September are going to be easier for me than the spring meets. That pushes us to 2017 and I'd love to do SELEM in August and turn around a few weeks later and head over there.

Hate to wait that long though!

I need to try and make it over too.

Pretty sure we will have Utila again in March next year. Just waiting on confirmation of dates from the large group that follows.

Most excellent weekend of lasers and find the pooh. I will put some pics on facebook soon!

Massive thanks to Jim for organising as always, and everyone who came, always a great few days, and really nice toilet paper.

P.S. Some used Kleenex and a copy of The Ladybird Book Of Canals were left in the private booth, anybody missing those?

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
