Seems like I am the last one to be able to post a "thanks to everyone post", don't you just love BT broadband
Anyway another great couple of days, sorry I couldn't stay longer, but still a great time. Thanks to Jim for arranging things, also to Rob for being my private shipping company, I owe you a beer
See you all in August, when I will do my best to bring a working Laser Infinity
Cheers
Steve

Im duplicating this here from the Surfleet FB group as we seem to be slipping into some bad habits......
Jim has announced that there was 15 bin bags of rubbish from this weekend and we will be issued with our own bin bags from now on I have added the following.....
I have discussed this with three people today and in the past, and I actually think we need to take this a step or two further.
Who left a whole uncooked pizza in the fridge......? And why......?
If you bring food and drink, eat and drink it or take it away with you.
If you are leaving before the end of the weekend pack up & clean the tables you have used and if you tape or cable tie your leads then cut the ties or remove the tape and put them in your bin.
Take your own mug/cup/glass/plate/bowl so that you will (hopefully) clean it yourself and take it away. On Sunday afternoon there was a pile of used cups overflowing from the sink. Just wash up your own cups please.
What we need to keep in mind here is the work that Jim puts in to make this happen, we will never get a location and hall as well suited to what we do as the Surfleet hall, so we need to make sure that Jim does not get so pissed off with us that he says he's had enough.
None of us want rules and regulations changing the dynamic of the meets but Its just small things we can all do to take a massive load off Jim.
Imagine trying to get any other hall that will let us plumb in our own 63A 3phase....it wont happen. We MUST preserve what we have.

Rob,
I agree, lets respect what we have and also have some manners to the hall and to Jim for the great venue and hard work Jim puts in to organising these events. If I am a culprit, I am truly sorry and will make sure that I cannot ever be accused of taking this wonderful venue and the hard work and dedication of Jim for granted. Thanks for bringing this to the groups attention. Sorry Jim, I for one will try and make sure the venue and you get the due respect you both deserve.
Thanks again for those who chipped in to clear up the mess.
Cheers
Steve
I'm in full support of Rob's comments. We can't lose the use of the hall and Jim's good will to organize these meets or else we can effectively consider the meets over with.
The only thing I can confess to is leaving half a pack of croissants that I offered to Rob (yag) Sat morning.

I might have left some JD behind. Sorry about that. Hope it was useful for cleaning sticky tape off tables or something.

That settles it then.Maybe we can use that as a motivating theme to get people on board. Plenty of time to plan anyways. I know the issue last time I tried to champion the idea of a number of people coming, was adding more to the itinerary. The thinking was people probably wouldn't want to fly over there just for the LEM. I'll have to start exploring the possibilities of that.
