I have an experience to share with you guys. Once I was in a remote place, my signal in my phone got jammed, i thought the problem would be with my service provider. After coming back home i gave black and blues to my customer care highlighting my issue. They pleaded me saying that the problem is not with them. Then i browsed through the search engine regarding my issue, i got a remedy for my cell phone, there i came to know the problem called signal jamming that is experienced in most cell phones. They have a product called cell phone jammer could be very useful to get rid of these problems. Check out the details here mobile phone jamming and hope this information would be beneficial. Hope that u would pass this information to all your friends, so that they too would benefited, Stay safe, Cheers

Not sure what this metaphor is implying. But I have looked around the forums trying to gain knowledge for more information about my scanner and I am learning more each day. Thanks for your input though.

the metaphor is implying he's a spammer and has been reported to the janitor.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

This thread illustrates what's great about this forum. No snarky comments from a peanut gallery, or preemptive safety admonitions from hall monitors. Just high quality advice from graduates of the School of Hard Knocks, who paid tuition and only ask new students to pay attention. Bravo, bravo!!!!!

the ability to play waves is only helpful if you have waves to play.

no timeline based laser show editor outputs wave files and editing wave show files is...awkward. they can work reasonably well as a final output file, assuming you don't need to edit laser linearity, scanning optimization, or blanking settings, but i would never use them for anything else.

If by playing waves you mean visualising the spectral response as shown above, then so can Beyond and in several different ways.

+1 for a sound card DAC. Definitely the best entry option in my opinion. They can come as low as $50 or so depending on what correction amp and sound card you use. For software I recommend 5paghetti plus an ILDA file editor. I've heard good things about LSX too but the author seems to be missing if I understand correctly. Or you can even go cheaper and use something free like HE laserscan or LaserRoom. This means that it is definitely possible to enter this hobby with just $600. You might not be able to afford a proper full-color laser yet, but you could always upgrade from single- or dual-color later on..

Just a curious question. My ILDA board has three ribbon cables DB25 I believe, one female, one male and then a third pin input/output which has 10 small switches on it. Can somebody specify what each cable does? I think I tried to explain it as best as I could. I can supply a picture if needed. Thanks again!

The switches are called 'dip switches' and the newer better PJs no long use these- hard to deal with especially in the dark etc- the position of these switches gives you several 'modes' like sound responce -built in stuff etc. I much prefer the led/lcd window with up down mode and enter- ez to change in the dark-- HOWEVER once you have a DAC and soft these no longer function once the DAC is attached.

    >16,000 have choosen QS F3-& Pangolin has so much more to offer- many feel just the availibility of more than 100 complete song modules justifies the cost AND as namny has said in this thread the value does not drop much and many never consider a FB3 to ever be 'used' they are warranteed for life afaik- and seeing ANY FS by owner happens and when it does they are gone in minuted or hours but NOT in days.

As far a customer service and other help nobody outdoes Pangolin- they have a forum where many Qs are answered and it seems once you own Pangolin you become a part of the support team- for new buyers-- Learning QS for me was VERY easy due to the video tutorials. IIRC you can go to Pangolin.com and view a six minute version- and try QS free too.

As you may know the other ILDA (DB25) is the 'through' so you can easily 'daisy chain' two or more PJs together and run both from a single PC/FB3--IF all are either analog or TTL blanking and all must have one- two or three lasers --that works fine- but you cant run a one color along witha 3 color from one PC/FB3..

-- thus the need many pros have for more than one FB3 some have 5 or 6 of them and yes they had, in most cases=, to pay full price for each.

(Pangolin sez)- the DACs are what you buy - the soft is free-and all future updates too--- the discs are easy to copy but unless you have QS or Beyond they cannot be used ATM with other softs. and no onter DACs will work with Pangolin products. never heard of anyone hacking or making a clone of Pangolin DACs.

another Pangolin plus is the upgrade deals- There is no regret of buying 'just' QS and not going for the BEYOND-- as you can get a discount for owning QS and then upgrading to BEYOND... or LD2000 -

hope this helps and that it is accurate--

I am sure any errors will be pointed out-- another great thing about the forum-
