Brad, I'm not suggesting you don't use the Chamsys/Enttec solution
That would a fine way forward, just be aware of the limitations of the user interface

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    Brad -

FYI on the MagicQ, in case you're interested ~
In case you want MIDI capability, if I'm not mistaken you need a Chamsys MIDI interface for it to work.
I don't "think" it will support loopback and USB MIDI drivers, so that rules out software-only integration with the APC40 (and other USB MIDI controllers) and other MIDI-enabled software, like Beyond.

That's part of the reason I decided to fork out a little bit for the Enttec D-Pro ~
Full MIDI integration out of the box without any proprietary hardware requirements, as well as full Enttec and ArtNET support.
(And got it at Sweetwater... )

Definitely not a "Pro" solution on the scale that Norty and some other folks might use, but still pretty darn capable, and it will also integrate directly with the hardware control wings sold by Enttec, should the "need" for a reasonably-priced proper hardware control solution pop up down the road.

You DO all realize that by the time this is settled, I'll be dragging around a GrandMA don't you? LOL

Which is why I can never hang out in Club SELEM ever again...

You should chat with DJ Matt -
I think he's still got some fairly big investments in some lighting gear, including some top-end lighting desks.

Might be an opportunity for some hands-on demos...

    uhm... yeah

i'm just going to go ahead and not say anything.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Something tells me that Club SELEM might need to be renamed next year in honor of the attendee with the most gear....

Now that's a version 1 MA desk, 17 years old at this point. If you're gonna go big, just get a newer MA2!
Still has the Oops button ,but only will set you back $72k!

4096 should suffice. I can do without all 8192.
