You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Hmmmm... Right, yes, I see. I do so hope that you are not casting aspersions about the Colonies, again? Nevertheless, I hope our discussions do not come across as negative, But, if they do, then

People only talk about cheap mounts, no one really makes any...lots of talk...very little action...

I don't get the importance of the super low price. The good projectors, with really nice components must cost thousands of dollars. A good MM1 style mount (but better) from Thorlabs costs 35-40 dollars. You don't need a lot of mounts and certainly not a lot of these special mounts. I wouldn't buy these to save money. I would buy them to save space and where I have the room and the choice then maybe I'll look at price.

its human nature to whine and cry about the cost of something when people are spending their precious little dollars, reality hits home when they have to make it themselves then magically their labor is worth 5 times what yours is worth. The talk about being 3, 5 or 9 parts raising the price is a cop out...it is all about the time to make "one"...meh...it is still unfinished until its anodized black...as I said earlier...talk is the only thing that is cheap when making these mounts...I assure you, there is no profit in any of them. Everyone wants small lasers then they build a projector box with enough space between the lasers and scanners to bury a doberman in....nonsense...

really? your clearly not a machinist?

machining 3 parts take 3 times as long as machining one part so its 3 times as expensive

Actually, Andy, I thought you were fine tuning and modifying this first off mount to optimize it. I also thought you had a CNC mill. Most of the work is in the development, next is the assembly of parts and easiest is the fabricating of the individual components. I think this mount is a good idea and even if it comes in substantially more expensive to produce, people will buy it.
