The iShow DAC doesn't display ILDA files very well. I've talked about this previously in some other thread. It's because of the iShow DAC firmware. So, yes, ILDA files will look better on your SD player because it just streams the points out. The iShow DAC attempts to further optimize things and just makes a mess of it all.

If you're interested in creating or playing back shows or ILDA files, Spaghetti will make life easier than dealing with the iShow software but there won't be miraculous increase in output quality. Spaghetti did improve the old iShow 1.0 output but not so much with the 2.3 version.

However, if you'd like Spaghetti and a nice DAC that doesn't have these problems I can sell you Spaghetti + Riya Lite for $150. Spaghetti alone is $89 and I am selling the Riya Lite alone for $110 so it's about a $50 discount.

Riya also works with LSX so if you decide to upgrade to LSX in the future you won't need another DAC.

If I use him and spaghetti together will be an improvement?

I guess you now are in for the "say bye bye to all future financial stability".
    My personal opinion:
If possible: Buy the Spaghetti/Riya from JohnYayas. You will not regret it.
Is the ISHOW DAC i bummer? No - it is not. You are able to use BOTH DAC`s for the same show with two projectors. You are not there yet, but we all know, you will be there quite soon.

The Riya DAK is perfect for Graphics, while the ISHOW DAC is more than usefull for beams and simple graphics with Spaghetti.

Just to keep you up to date, there are an option also for a cheap software/DAC bundle with GLS from Riya themselves. This will only work with the RIYA DAC, bit it is a nice piece of software. The GLS software, have a rather complexed user interface, but once you get the hang of it, you are able to make incredible abstract patterns and shows.

The iShow DAC works pretty well for beam shows where you aren't concerned with tight resolution. So, if you want to use Spaghetti to control 5 or 6 beam projectors at once it is a cheap way to do it. You can also mix the ishow DAC with other DACs in Spaghetti.

I can also sell the Riya Lite DAC GLS enabled but it is an extra $50 because I would have to pay a fee to Riya Lasers in that case. So, for $200, you could get Riya DAC, GLS, and Spaghetti. LOL.

But wait, there's more... haha. Starting to sound like an info-mercial now.

Yes.... basically buy the Spaghetti and Riya DAC and chalk the waste of money buying iShow up to a learning experience. I don't think you will find a post anywhere on the forum with anyone having anything good to say about iShow. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and your first (but not last) waste of money in this silly laser game.

The Spaghetti demo is free to use. Try it and see if you like it. I am the developer of Spaghetti so I'd like you to buy it but I also want you to be happy. Most other programs also have demos. Try those, too.

iShow comes with a lot of frames, a USB cable, and an ILDA cable. So, it isn't all bad. And like I said, with Spaghetti, it is OK for beam shows.
