This all reminds me of the Coach-Z Vs. Peacey Peace tune...

Replace "tenerence love" in the r&b break with "garbage" and you'll see where this is going...

If you're going to state or agree that what I add to wave files is nonsense, then you should be prepared to explain what it is and how it is nonsense.

    I'd like to see that.

Please keep it technical and accurate.

Perhaps it would be best done in The LaserBoy Thread.

Nonsense means it has no practical application or it causes problems.

    State your case.

Your lack of response will be taken as proof you have nothing to say.

All software has a learning curve usually proportional to its capabilities and unique features. Pointing with a mouse is in no way easier than tapping a key.

Give me a link to your WAV file specification or send it directly to me (not source code because requiring developers to look at source code to implement/understand something is nonsense) and I will look it over again and tell you why it is nonsense. It has been awhile since I looked into it so my memory isn't fresh and I don't want to be mistaken with my comments.

Here's a big part of it.

    http://laserboy.org/forum/index.php?...sg5574#msg5574

What's so bad about reading the code? At least you have it!

    You know all about C++.

This shouldn't be any problem for you.

A description of what it is is abstract. The code that does it is real.

I can explain any part of it, however it has been a long time since I worked on any of this as it has been done it its current form for many years.

Since the extra data is stamped with a version, it is recognizable as such and therefor extendable. It has been through many revisions.

Please remember to ask questions before you make assumptions.

And please continue this conversation in The LaserBoy thread.

    The current version is "LaserBoy06282010".

I'm sorry if my documentation is not up to date. Maybe I'll get around to finalizing it in the next 11 years or so.

I am a "volunteer", after all.

It's like Deja Vu for us old 'uns (as evidenced by the post count for this thread).

Perhaps "technically Banned" isn't quite hardcore enough for him.

That's just more derogatory nonsense toward me.

This thread is about ILDA format 3 and the documentation that presented it.

    Try to stay on point.

Or make your own "Let's all bash James" thread.

I'm not going to reverse engineer your code to figure out the file format. If you can't even document your file format then you have not gone past first base as far as I am concerned. So, I'm not even going to continue.
