Here in Las Vegas Nevada US we have been using the pier micro series in a lot of the mid-level clubs and has not been any problems with the lasers but as somebody,has mentioned, they tend to be more of a cool white ,,, slight trace Blue,, not a warm white but even that being said they were phenomenal and I don't know why people slam Laser World ??? One thing I do like is that external power supply it seems to last longer because a lot of our technicians don't go through and turn off all the lights so even though they're not running,,,, the power is still engaged and they seem to hold up a little better than some of the other equipment in the theaters ballrooms in conventional's this is my honest testimony no complaints,,, we are using p.m. 3800s and p.m. 5700s

You can see the history of Laser World issues dating back at least 10 years on this forum. As I recall, 90% of those issues were with the laser not even meeting their "minimum" output range.

I was one of their many victims years ago. I purchased a minimum 450mw RGB unit (top of range was 620mW as I recall) and what I received was 200mW of red, 10mW of green and <1 mW of blue. I couldn't get a refund from Laser World and upon further examination, it appeared that the laser modules were recycled from other sources. As I recall the explanation from Laser World is that they measure the power consumed by the driver and report that as opposed to the actual output of laser power generated. I later gutted the whole thing and ended up reusing nothing more than the paired red diodes, a psu and the case.

The fact that this company hasn't been sued out of existence or successfully prosecuted for fraud after so many years of such practices befuddles me.

Athough Swisslas is not the same as Laser World, I personally would avoid doing business with anyone associating with and perhaps sharing components with Laser World.

Wow i've only been dealing with Laser World in the last year and a half I had no idea but quite honestly all of the casinos are not having problems with the RTI and the HP lasers they purchase I had one problem with Fay p.m. 3800 but it was mostly because of operator air and Laser World quickly fix the problem ,, I don't know if they've changed but I have not seen the problems that you referred to here in Las Vegas
I am not looking for an argument it's just my personal experience that's all

Cool! I'm glad to hear that your experience is a vast improvement as compared with their prior reputation. Hopefully they have cleaned up their act in recent years.

Don't confuse LaserWorld and RTI / SwissLas / HBlaser... they're VERY different beasts.

LaserWorld distribute them all as well as their own brand Re-badged chi-jectors...
Stuff badged LaserWorld is budget and traditionally crap... but cheap crap.
The others are much better quality gear but with a much higher pricetag attached...

I've heard that LW have cleaned up their act a bit recently and supposedly even their new range of own brand gear is much better than it was, but haven't yet had a good look at it...
Might have a chat with their U.K. rep soon if my next tour comes off as I hope it does... but will probably be for RTI or SwissLas kit still unless their stuff is amazingly better than it was...

I recently acquired a Pro 1300 RGB. Scanners are ok, but I have to tweak the hell out of QS to get everything looking ok.

As far as color balance, it does white laser light, but it is blue heavy. Not that crisp white that I am used to.

The EFX wheel works well with QS and a DMX controller (very handy).

It says guaranteed output is 1W, but I've measured 1W and 0.85W.

I am interested in the Swisslas Pure Micro Series, but hesitate to drop that much $$$$. I would love to demo one for a few hours and see what it can do.

I am satisfied with the Pro 1300 RGB, but wish I had saved the money for something with better white balance and better scanners.

If so, it's easy to see why it's so blue balanced - only 200mw red and 200mw green to 600mw of blue, that's 1:1:3 in favour of blue. With 637nm red you can get away with 50% more blue, and my projector has 200% more blue than green and even then I think it's probably a little green light. 300% is a lot especially vs the red despite it's luminosity.

On the power front, I'm afraid LW have had a poor reputation in the past on here for lasers that were reported as allegedly under spec and / or died quickly.

At the cheaper end of the market, you'd be better looking towards an Eightonlight (Lightspace) or Able Lasers product in my opinion. Both Chinese but good quality and I think genuinely FDA approved, although I'll let others correct me on the latter.

Several members on here have Lightspace Pluto II models (no longer made) and have reported good quality products. I believe the Venus / Venus II is the replacement for the Pluto and both Able and LS are quite open to custom adjustments to the ratios if required (and possible).
