I was hooked on it back in the early 2000's and hadn't seen it for years. I'll admit that this last time wasn't as impressive as my memory recalled and even CountFunkula said Illuminations at Epcot was probably a better show.

Oh yeah, I do like Illuminations quite a bit, as long as you can get a good position! Lots of lasers, too, now. We saw it just in January, but had really bad location.

I'm glad to hear all the excitement about the theme parks. As many of you know I used to work as Sea World & Universal IOA as a laser tech. Once you've worked there you tend to look at them differently. You almost make me want to go back. Almost lol.
    See you Friday!

Chris, working for Disney in any capacity - behind the scenes helping with production of "something" - has been sort of a dream of mine since maybe in my 20"s. I have a feeling that if I ever get a job with Disney now, at this age, it's going to be walking around the park with a broom and dustpan or, maybe driving a shuttle.

I ordered one and it will be here on Tuesday so, don't worry about bringing one if you were going to.

Really wanted to go but just a bit too much for me now if I want to make SELEM. Saving my money for either a trip out west or a move...

Ok... I really think I have a problem. I have entirely too much laser shit. I've gotten better about not buying as much stuff but, I'm working on packing stuff for FLEM and rooting through boxes and little packages and finding crap I don't ever remember buying and don't even recognize. I don't recognize names on shipping labels. Hell, I found a big empty cardboard box under a table in the lobby that says it had a projector in it from the UK but I don't remember what or who it came from. And that was early February!

Anyway.... the packing is under way and I hope to be on the road in the morning.

Edit - ok, I figured it out. It was a three watt edison projector.

Sigh... I'm really ready to just sit and have a good cry. The more I dig, the more I'm realizing just what sick, epic proportions Mt. Lasermore has truly become. God damn I've spent a lot of money. And have NO clue what all is in these crates, boxes, pouches, cases.... things that haven't even been unwrapped. Scads of scanners, modules of all powers and colors, optics I have no idea about, motors, lenses, little tissue paper wrapped things, circuit boards of who knows what variety. I found a DataSync which is some sort of thing for hooking an ADAT up to a midi device for some reason. I don't know squat about MIDI and even though I have TWO modified ADAT's - have never had/seen an ADAT tape! The purge is coming folks! Have your wallets ready!

Curious if anyone is interested in picking up any Compact 506 sets while there? I will be bringing some Pangolin gear but need to know how much time to devote this week to prepping scanners for FLEM, or concentrate my time on further Pangolin developments! If interested, send me a PM I guess!
