Hi Laserists,
I've never written about RayComposer here at Photonlexicon before - I think I should do that now
since RayComposer has been seen outside in the wild for a few weeks now.
RayComposer is a completely new developed set of tools to create laser and multimedia shows.
It is cross-platform: you can use it on windows and mac os x.
Animation Editor
is the drawing tool.
-fully object oriented editor
-engine and tools are completely based on bezier curves; never worry again how many corners a circle should have!
-unique handling of color gradients
-3D drawing with switchable views
-layers
-lots of drawing tools; waves, spirals, arcs, etc...
-all true type fonts & single line laser fonts
-masking
Timeline Editor
here you compose the show together.
-3D laser show preview: show each laser once or several times; move around or rotate the projectors
-move laser beams around with your mouse in the 3d preview directly to create key frame animations!
-hierarchical timeline; create groups of tracks
-lots of effects: usual ones like movement, scale, rotation, but also cool new ones like twirl, gradients, rotated copies...
-run cue lists to control complex dmx rigs
-multimedia-ready: drop audio files, still images or videos on the timeline and playout to a video projector
-audio vizualisation using spectrogram
-timecode synchronization (Clock, MTC, LTC, ArtNET)
-video export
Projector Mapping

-control how each bus is mapped to the projector with adjustable geometry and intensities for each mapping
-attenuate areas in the laser output
-map colors to up to six laser sources
-adjust linearity and color shift of each laser separately
