    The Ship Inn is a lovely place and I do enjoy staying there for the peace and quiet. There's nothing wrong with the place itself and it's in a nice spot. Just don't assume that because you've booked a room you'll actually get a room

    I would recommend that you ask for an email confirmation, then it's less likely they'll cancel you or say you never booked it.
