Brad's face is already reflecting that. Everyone is starting to blow past me in terms of power. Yes I may have more overall projectors than most but, those of you that upgrade the few that you have to 15, 18, 20+ watt monsters are making me rather jealous.

I've started asking for room confirmation in writing (which I got this time). I guess that makes it more difficult to pull a fast one...
Cancel the booking Jem! You too Ade!

They don't deserve a further penny from anyone with consistent "ditch that lot, someone with a wedding party who will pay more is here" attitude they have shown time and time again over the last few years.
There has be other accommodation, even if it's a mile further away.

I prefer the hall myself. There's nothing like the sound of a full concerto of snoring to ease away the days stresses. If we can get Graham to sample them and turn it into dubstep, we'll be on to a winner right there

To be perfectly honest Dan I do feel like doing exactly that. However, Having been kicked out of the ship a couple of LEM's ago (for exactly the same reason - a wedding) and having to resort to 'sleeping' on the floor in the hall I can confirm that I won't ever be doing that again. I was kept awake by the constant banging of the kitchen door from those who chose to stay awake all night tinkering. I don't blame those concerned, they were enjoying themselves and I wasn't going to spoil anyone's fun (although I do wish a little consideration had been shown towards those trying to sleep). No, the problem lies completely with myself, i'm a delicate old soul, and need to get a decent quantity of sleep otherwise I encounter exactly the problem I encountered on that occasion. That being that I started with a migraine attack and had to leave the LEM early in the morning so I could try to get home before it got so bad I couldn't drive. Thankfully I made it home, but quite how I did the last 50 or so miles i really don't know, I think autopilot kicked in. If I hadn't set off when I did I would have been stuck in Surfleet for at least three days to allow time to recover and until I felt safe to drive again.

So, in short, I put up with the Ship Inn because it's a nice room, it's quiet, I can get some sleep and a I can grab breakfast (that suits my strange diet) in the morning. These things ensure that I can then enjoy the LEM with everyone else and feel reasonably healthy for the time i'm there. It's such a shame that we're having to put up with all this sh*t as it casts a shadow over something that should be absolutely straight forward... Book a room, turn up, stay, pay, leave...

The other advantage of the Ship Inn is that we have a key to allow us access at any time. This means we can pretty much come and go as we please, day or night. All the other local places have some sort of curfew, usually around 11pm. A few of us even went to visit the most local B&B (just over the bridge) to see if we booked all the rooms in the hotel whether or not they would lift the curfew. The answer was a resounding 'No'. So, there we have it, the Ship it is...

    Cheers

Haha , I don't blame anyone other than the Ship Inn . Everyone in the Kitchen was enjoying themselves and I wasn't going to spoil anyone's fun. After all, that's why we attend the LEM's, to enjoy ourselves. No, it's my rubbish health that is to blame and seemingly there's really not much I can do about that . I just have to make the best of it and unfortunately the equation for happiness involves the Ship
